• नई खोजी गई झील जो दुनिया की सबसे ऊंची जगह पर है – काजिन सारा झील (Kajin Sara lake)(5,200 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर नेपाल के मानंग जिले के सिंगारखरका में स्थित 1,500 मीटर लंबी और 600 मीटर चौड़ी झील)

• अब, सबसे ऊंची जगह पर है वह दुनिया की दूसरी झील – तिलिचो झील (Tilicho lake)(नेपाल में 4,919 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित 4 किमी लंबी, 1.2 किमी चौड़ी और लगभग 200 मीटर गहरी झील)
